The location for this year’s Kickoff Picnic was brilliant for photography, and of course for a BBQ. Food was in abundant supply. Burgers were in high demand and the hot dogs were also a favorite. The weather was excellent, warm, but not too warm. Well done to Phoebe and John for choosing the great location and all the preparation work that went in to making the event so enjoyable. The star of the afternoon was certainly Elizabeth, aged 6 going on 13 as Stacey, her mother, described her. As we got to know her, this is clearly true. Betsy and Elizabeth went off to the beach mid-afternoon to play at the water’s edge while Betsy took an endless number of photographs. While Elizabeth and Betsy were engrossed a Bride and Groom appeared on the beach with their photographer. Pictures from the afternoon and sunset are available on our website. The guest dog was Molly, a cross between an Australian Cattle dog and a Husky. She was born in Alaska. Any food she could get was gratefully taken.
